WHO WE SERVE
PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY
We are committed to raising awareness and breaking down stigmas surrounding disabilities. In many rural areas, disabled children are often hidden due to societal misconceptions. We educate families on the potential of these children, advocating for their right to attend school, find employment, and participate fully in society. Our Community Center provides a safe space for individuals with disabilities to connect, learn, and thrive. Through these efforts, we strive to foster an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and supported.
ORPHANS
Mamasafi started with the care of nine orphans as a calling from God. In Siaya, there is a high rate of orphaned children who lack essential needs and often live with grandparents who struggle to provide for them. Through our efforts, we have been able to support over 500 orphans by providing education and finding them safe places to live.
WIDOWS
We have helped widows start a women's cooperative project, including a Chama and an agricultural initiative with chicken farming. We aim to expand these projects further to provide income for widows, ensuring their children can attend school.
MAMASAFI CENTER
The Mamasafi Community Center is a safe haven for those in need, offering a range of programs and support services. Our center assists individuals with disabilities, widows, orphans, the elderly, and underprivileged families. Through various initiatives such as educational programs, resource distribution, economic empowerment projects, and spiritual support, we strive to create a compassionate and inclusive environment. The center has made a significant positive impact on the community, helping countless individuals and families to thrive and achieve their potential.

As a dedicated nonprofit organization based in Pomona, California, our mission is to uplift the most vulnerable members of our community, unhoused women and children by providing essential resources and compassionate support.
